For Clayton, the highlight of his role is the theatre of auctioneering itself. His energy, wit, and mastery make every auction an engaging experience and a true spectacle to watch. Clayton’s auctioneering has also brought acclaim, winning the 2004 Victorian Under 25 Championship. Raised on a family farm in Camperdown, Clayton's local knowledge, practical farming background, and commitment to achieving the best results for clients continues to underpin his success within the industry.

Away from work, Clayton enjoys spending quality time with his wife and sons. The Horspole family are heavily involved in the competitive woodchopping circuit, travelling extensively to competitions and events across the country. Clayton also has a keen interest in poultry, especially breeding and showing Brahma & Cochin chooks of many colour varieties, reflecting his lifelong passion for rural pursuits and agriculture.
