With an outstanding career spanning 41 years in the industry, Michael has played a pivotal role in the company's growth and success, building on the legacy established by his father Neil Stewart, Grandfather Colin Stewart, and Great-Grandfather Charles Stewart. His leadership and commitment to excellence were instrumental in the successful acquisition of Charles Stewart & Co. by Elders Rural Services Australia Limited in November 2023. The transition ensures the company continues to operate under the trusted Charles Stewart & Co. name while maintaining the personalised service and strong client relationships for which it has long been known.

He has made a significant contribution to Anam Cara Hospice for South-West Victoria, serving as Patron, foundation member, former fundraising chairman, and board member. He is also actively involved in the annual Colac Chaplaincy Appeal, helping raise vital funds to support local families and community initiatives.
