Electronic identification is being phased in

From January 1, 2022 all sheep leaving a Victorian farm must be tagged.

In line with the Victorian Minister for Agriculture's announcement in August 2016, the final stages of the phased-in electronic identification system for sheep and goats will come into effect on January 1, 2022.
