Birregurra property owner Omar Dennaoui takes every opportunity he can to escape to the country.
Mr Dannaoui his wife and their three children recently bought a property at Birregurra with his cousin, and they love it, he says he would love to live there full time.
Mr Dannaoui bought 117-acre farming property with a four-bedroom home on the Princes Highway at Birregurra, set up perfectly for a small sheep or cattle enterprise. It’s equipped with machinery shed and a range of smaller shedding near the house suitable for dogs or chooks.
And the property could not make him happier. Having grown up on a farm, and after years of living in Werribee, he decided he wanted his own farm and ended up buying next door to where his father purchased a property.
He said it’s fantastic. Dad has cattle on his but for him the property was a place to escape. It’s nice and quiet and I just enjoy being there.
“Just absolutely amazing,” he said.
Birregurra, Colac and the wider region has really impressed Mr Dannaoui and he can’t believe the easy access the property has to everything.
“You’re living on a farm but you’re within minutes of everything, Bunnings, Coles and Safeway are just 10 or 15 minutes down the road in Colac. You’re close to Geelong; the freeway makes it so convenient.”
He said the area has progressed so much compared with other parts of Victoria that was why we decided to buy there we like the area “it’s worth investing there, you have to live it to know it”.
He’s also enjoying getting to know all his new neighbours and he says they’ve been very welcoming.
